Greetings bookworms and welcome back to my bookish corner! I hope this week has been fabulous for you all. It’s been pretty hectic for me, as you can tell from my absence here on the blogosphere (or maybe you guys don’t notice at all… *sob*). BUT, ONE GREAT THING HAPPENED THIS WEEK (among the many other awesome things):
I WENT TO THE BOOKSTORE.
And what did I do there? Buy books, obviously. I had a $60 gift card for Dymocks Bookstore and on Tuesday, I couldn’t take it anymore – I NEEDED TO GET MY HANDS ON NEW BOOKS. So I trundled off with my best friend to the bookstore and walked out with three books! WOOOOOO.
And now it’s time for me to show you said books!
PASSENGER BY ALEXANDRA BRACKEN
I keep hearing such good things about this book, I just could not contain myself when i saw this, in all it’s beauty, in the bookstore. I squealed a little bit in delight. Just a bit. If you don’t know what this book is about (which, by the way, would be ridiculous because this has been the buzz of the town for the entirety of January and February), it’s about a ships and time travel and searching for stolen items. Mixing ships at sea with time travelling sounds so dang cool, RIGHT?!

MORE THAN THIS BY PATRICK NESS
Yaaaas. Finally, I have acquired a new Patrick Ness book. Fast becoming my favourite author for his amazing writing and storytelling in A Monster Calls and the Chaos Walking trilogy, I’m excited to get into More Than This, which is another of his deep, contemporary novels. And just look at the BEAUTIFUL COVER. I’m all about covers you guys – I’m not shallow, I just appreciate an eye for good design.

THE WALLED CITY BY RYAN GRAUDIN
After blowing me away with Wolf by Wolf, I couldn’t NOT walk past this book in the bookstore. Not only does it sound so incredibly compelling, but I am also curious as to Ryan Graudin’s other works of fiction. Here’s what the blurb says, to entice you further:
There are three rules of survival in the Walled City.
RUN FAST. TRUST NO ONE.
ALWAYS CARRY YOUR KNIFE.
Right now, my life depends completely on the first.
RUN, RUN, RUN.
Tell me your fabulous thoughts, bookworms!
