Book To Movie Adaptations
Greetings bookworms, and welcome back! Today, in the last hour of this fine Tuesday, I am bringing to you all the first Top Ten Tuesday post of the month! I feel like it’s been forever since I did one of these, and it’s about time I get back into the groove of things.Ā
This week the topic is book-to-movie adaptations we are excited about or haven’t seen yet. This is an easy topic for me because I am constantly hearing about movie adaptations, but I am also not a huge movie watcher. So let’s get to it, shall we?

Book To Movie Adaptations I Haven’t Seen Yet
1. Harry Potter
Now, considering I have not read the books yet, you should all be sighing with relief I suppose. However, I am not saying I haven’t seenĀ anyĀ of the Harry Potter movies. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen theĀ firstĀ and theĀ secondĀ Harry Potter movies more than once, and possibly even the third. However, I never got far enough into the movies. I have approximately watched less than half of the entire movie franchise.Ā
2. The Maze RunnerĀ
I have been meaning to go out and see this movie adaptation, but IĀ never got around to it.Ā I haven’t even read the books yet, so I have no flipping idea what the story is really about! But I intend to know soon (if I can find the time, with my flood of books in my midst).
3. Paper Towns
AfterĀ ABSOLUTELY LOVINGĀ the book, I was so excited for the Paper Towns movie and then… I never got around to seeing it. I still do intend of watching it however, because I am curious to see how well they did and if I like it better than the book. (Which possibly will NOT happen)
4. Me, Earl and the Dying Girl
IĀ haven’t read the book, however the movie looks so great! The trailers all make me excited to see the movie, and yet I still have not seen it! What am I doing? I think I’m not a movie person – but then again, how can we be movie people AND book people? Or is itĀ just me?!Ā
5. The Martian
Another adaptation in which I have yet to read the book! But never fear, I HOPE to read the book as soon as I can. It sound so good and so many people have raved about the movie that I MUST see it.Ā
6. Gone Girl
To be honest, I don’t plan to see this movie, but I thought I might just mention that I have not seen this yet (and probably never will). It’s not my type of movie, I suppose and neither is the book any more appealing to me.Ā
7. Insurgent
I was fairly impressed with theĀ DivergentĀ movie, and thought they did a good job, and I am of course excited for this movie, which is the second in the trilogy. Does anyone know if Allegiant will be adapted into a movie? Come on bookworms, give me all the details!Ā
Book To Movie Adaptations I Am Looking Forward To:
8. Pride and Prejudice and Zombies
I haven’t read the classic novel,Ā Pride and Prejudice, but this sounds so interesting! (Let’s be honest, I’m only taking interest in it because of the ‘zombies’). I know broadly what Pride and Prejudice is about, but not much that I feel familiar with it at all. But nonetheless, I am excited for this one!
9. Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children
There’s a pretty clear trend here… All of the adaptations I want to see are ones I haven’t read the books for! But oh well. While I feel like the book for this might freak me out, for some reason I’m excited to see how the movie turns out. Therefore, I am looking forward to it!Ā
10. The Fifth WaveĀ
ANOTHER book I haven’t read, let I am very very excited for the movie. I mean… ALIENS. Come on. And the trailer was pretty intense.Ā
Tell me your fabulous thoughts, bookworms!
