Greetings bookworms! I’m sure you’ve been wondering where I have been for the past few days, and I assure you that I am not dead, your beloved bookworm is still here! (Unless of course, you didn’t care *cries*) My deepest apologies for disappearing after Monday this week and not even having the consideration to give you all a heads up.
Those of you who follow me of Twitter would surely have known that this week I had three huge finals exams to do, and now they are over until next Friday! WOO HOO!
But in any case, I apologise, and I do hope you all still love me and want to read my posts and talk to me (please don’t hate me for leaving, you guys are like, my online besties).
But I digress. It’s time for Spotlight Saturday and I should get onto it before Saturday ends…
Spotlight Saturday #10!
Spotlight Saturday is a weekly feature, created by Josie at Josie’s Book Corner [aka, moi], dedicated to spotlighting and pinpointing some of the things over the week that have caught my attention more than usual, things I’ve particularly loved, etc.
Ah, now who shall I spotlight this week? It’s going to be hard considering that I have been basically MIA for the entire week, however I have one person in mind, a lovely lady whose blog I discovered recently (last month, if my memory is correct – which it may not be because my memory is appalling). Jeann @ Happy Indulgence is this lovely lady blogger. I discovered her around the same time as I disovered Cait @ Paper Fury (another lovely lady whose blog YOU NEED TO CHECK OUT NOW).
Jeann is lovely and she runs an amazing blog, called Happy Indulgence. Not only does she do fantastic bookish posts from reviews, to giveaways, to blog tours; she also does a ton of awesome features and chats about GAMING. Also, she just welcomed two new co-bloggers to her blog, one of which I featured as a spotlighted blog in one of my last Spotlight Saturday posts (let’s play a game… can you guess who it is?)
But in any case, FOLLOW JEANN OVER AT HAPPY INDULGENCE BECAUSE HER BLOG IS FABULOUS AND SHE IS FABULOUS.
I have two fabulous blog posts featured in this week’s Spotlight Saturday. The first comes from CW @ Read Think Ponder. A blog I adore so very, very much. This week, she posted a post called: “Let’s Talk About: Why I Need Representation”. And dang it was great. She discussed how our current culture and society portray and represent different people, such as Asians, in entertainment and in the media. It’s insightful and I agreed with every single point she made.
My next spotlighted post goes to Aentee @ Read At Midnight. She posted a post this week called “Discussion: Posts I Loved Reading As A Non-Blogger”. She discussed how her blog-reading habits changed over time as she took up the blogging hobby and as she developed skills and new preferences. I could relate so well, and all of you bloggers reading this should definitely take a look at this!
So… Um…. I’m still reading Clockwork Princess. BUT HEAR ME OUT OKAY, I HAVE MAJOR UPDATES. I am practically, almost done. By tomorrow, I will be wallowing in a puddle of my own feels over the ending. Because honestly, already this book has me crying. I was reading it at work today, and the amount of times I almost broke down crying was insane (TIP: don’t read Clockwork Princess in public. Especially not the last 30%).
I think I ship Wessa now guys. I can’t believe it took me so long, but seriously, Wessa is endgame. Okay, let’s be honest, I want Jem all to myself. Cassandra Clare and her twists with Jem’s character just had me crying tears of sadness and happiness, and overall, I feel like my heart is about to burst. (Maybe I should stop doing this post and read…)
What was the highlight of my week this week? Ha. Final exams were my highlight. Why? Unlike during my mock exams, my state of mind during these final exams has been great. I’ve been mainly positive, and despite the normal exam nerves and doubts, I did fabulously. Granted, having three exams one day after the other with no breaks in between was hard but I think I did fairly well under the pressure! Woo hoo!
OH AND I JOINED THE iPHONE CREW. Holla at all you iPhone users, I am no longer a user of weird-Chinese-phones-that-look-like-iPhones-but-are-actually-not. (Honestly only wanted it for the camera, but hey!)
For this week’s spotlighted app, I’m giving a lovely shout-out to the amazing blogging platform we all use! Yes, I am talking about the WordPress app. This app is my absolute saviour. It makes my blogging life so much easier. The blog-hopping and reading process is so easy and seamless, and gives me the ability to reply to all your comments no matter where I am!
I feel like you are all going to hear me rave about the new Hillsong album for a while now. This week is no exception. My featured song for this week is Transfiguration by Hillsong Worship. You must listen to it immediately. DO IT. The piano, the tune, the clarity and the atmospheric feel to the song is amazing and I can listen to it on repeat without ever getting sick of it. Not only that, the vocals and the LYRICS. OH THE LYRICS.
Unfortunately, I haven’t got a great quote for this week. In my busy day, I haven’t found the time to discover a lovely quote. So instead, comment down below telling me your favourite quote for this week! I’d love to know!

OMG Josie! I can’t believe I’m reading this late but thank you so much for spotlighting me on your blog! This means so much to me ❤ you've really made my day (and inspired me to pick up the Infernal Devices series…which I will sometime)

I love the WordPress app so much! It’s mostly what I use when reading and commenting. I would be so lost without it, haha.
Great post! ❤

Same! I only go on my computer to write actual blog posts and do other very important blog stuff. I find blog hopping really hard on the computer.
Thank you Ashley! 💕

So glad to have you back on here, missed you! I’m happy to hear your exams went well. Sometimes life gets a bit overwhelming, and you can’t -and in that case, shouldn’t, haha- focus on blogging instead of well, living 😀
I feel like I’m the only one like, ever, not to own an Iphone, ahah! I just don’t have the money right now, but I hope you’ll enjoy it! I just love the feeling of getting a new phone, it’s like a new toy to play with, ahha 😛

Aw, Marie! 💕
Yea you’re so right, if things get stressful, it’s best to take a break and relax. Now I feel great and feel like I can go crazy with my blogging!
Aw you’re not the only one, I know heaps of people without iPhones! 😊 and I was one of them 😁
Exactly! It’s so fun playing with a new phone, figuring out how it works!

Oh I absolutely love Jeann!!! And her co-bloggers are AWESOME 😉 Thanks for the support, Josie ❤
Isn't getting a new phone the best experience?! The shininess and novelty of a new phone is always the best feeling. I just bought myself a new camera and I'm bouncing off the walls from excitement!

Welcome to the Wessa club 😀 !! I still love Jem but I like Will the best.
The WordPress app it’s amazing. Even when I’m home I know if I have comments and I can answer right away.

oh no, we lost you to the Wessa shippers 😦 ! Now in all truth, you might still slightly change your view of the matter at the end of the book… just saying. I ship Will and Tessa too by the way, but I love Jem more, and I want him to be super happy, so Jessa it is.
WordPress app is the best thing ever, it’s the only way I can answer to comments at the exact minute. And I so want an iPHONE 😦 but if i’m being honest, I just want it for the camera.
I’m so happy to see that you went to these exams with a more positive attitude 😀

Okay, so you’re totally pulling me back to the Jessa side right now! Maybe I should just stick with the fact that I will never be able to choose, because I love both couples so much 😭
HAHA oh Cristina, that’s how I was when I didn’t have an iPhone. I marvelled at the beauty of the camera and of the phone as a whole!
Me too, it’s such a more relieving thing to be less worried and negative during exam times! 😄
Thanks for stopping by 💕
