Hello bookworms! Tuesday means another round of Top Ten Tuesday! This week’s topic is our top ten finished series that we have YET to finish! I am unsure if I have many of these, because when I start a series, I tend to binge read them, but we lets see how far we get!

1. The Infernal Devices series

I currently have all the books in this series so I have no excuse for not completing this series this year. Luckily, I plan to read Clockwork Prince this month and most likely, Clockwork Princess will follow the moment I finish Clockwork Prince!

2. The Shatter Me series

So far from this series, I have completed Shatter Me and Destroy Me. I cannot wait to read Unravel Me this month where I plan to fall in love with Warner uncontrollably. So many people love him and I want to understand how the fandom could love such a crazy (or so he appears) antagonist (or so he appears!).

3. The Chaos Walking series

I plan to finish this series this year. Patrick Ness is simply amazing and this series really shows how amazing he is at creating novels in all aspects. I have so far read the first book – The Knife of Never Letting Go – and plan to read the rest soon. I have purchased The Ask and the Answer, so it is currently on it’s way to me from wherever Book Depository books come from.

4. The Percy Jackson and the Olympians series

I know that I have said before that I have never read the Percy Jackson series, but that is somewhat of a lie. In fact, I have read the first book – The Lightning Thief – but it was so long ago that I cannot remember what on Earth it was about! I plan to hopefully binge read the series after I graduate, along with my Christmas binge read of the Harry Potter series!

5. The If I Stay duology

I was given If I Stay as a birthday present from my lovely best friend, Joane, and I read it and enjoyed it. It wasn’t the best book in the world but it was enjoyable. I am honestly not sure if I will continue with the second book as it’s been approximately two years since I read this! (or was it one year?).

6. The Anna and the French Kiss series

Okay so there’s something funny about the way I started this series… I started with Isla and the Happily Every After. Of course, it does not matter which one you start with because they are companion novels, but so many people talk about Anna and Lola more than they talk about Isla. So I plan to read these cute contemporaries this year too!

7. The Selection series

It’s been too long since I read The Selection around the start of this year, in the early stages of my blogging. I loved it and I am still – after many months – yearning to read the rest of this series!

8. The Hush, Hush series

I have read the first book, Hush, Hush and honestly, it was a tragic read. It was very confusing and although it sounds interesting, I have a feeling I will not continue with the series. But who knows? I have the next two books in the series on my shelves so I suppose if I get bored, I’ll read them!

9. The Mistborn series

I bought this whole series last month and I am so excited for this. Granted, they are huge books, but I cannot wait to immerse myself in this fabulous, high fantasy world. I am going to be reading the first book – The Final Empire – this month!

10. The Across the Universe series

I read Across the Universe quite a few years ago. It was very interesting! I am not sure if I am going to continue with the rest of the series, however I am curious to see where Elder and Amy (I think that’s her name) end up!

That is all the series I have yet to finish! I didn’t realise I had so many… I feel very ashamed now! BUT I will be completing all of them this year, I hope!

What book series have YOU not completed yet?

Do we have any in common?

  1. I haven’t finished Chaos Walking either. The first one was so traumatic! I like to think that with that series the worst is now behind me, but with Patrick Ness you can never be sure.

I read Stephenie Perkins in a weird order too. I read Anna and the French Kiss, which I really loved, first, but then I read Isla and the Happily Ever After. I HATED that book. I found Isla self involved and awful. She made me so mad! Not a popular opinion, I know. Everybody seems to love Isla but me. As such I’m not sure whether or not Lola and the Boy Next Door is something I’m willing to put myself through…

    • The Knife of Never Letting go really was challenging for my heart. It had me crying and my mind and heart was reeling at the end! My heart beats in anticipation for the second!
Oh no that’s such a shame that you didn’t enjoy Isla! We all have our own opinions though! 😊

  2. I just finished Unravel Me, OMG, you are going to love it. I felt like I melted all over the floor at so many points during that book and I can’t believe everything that happened, it’s phenomenal. I also LOVE the Infernal Devices trilogy, without spoilers, it contains one of the most authentic and heart wrenching love stories I’ve read in a while. I think because Tess is such a book nerd, it’s really easy for me to connect to her so everything that happens felt so real. The other books in your list look AMAZING, and I am now adding several of them to my ever growing TBR! Thanks for introducing them to me 🙂

    • Oh my goodness, I can’t wait! I want to feel all those feels right now!
I also connect with Tessa really well because of that (obviously!).
Yay! I’m glad you found some new books to add and read! I hope you read them all soon! 😀

  3. I feel like I say this every time I visit your blog but you MUST finish The Chaos Walking series! I can’t wait to see what you think of the sequel. The Ask and The Answer is my favourite of the trilogy, it had so much heart and emotional manipulation and psychological warfare. URGH my heart.

    • Ahhh I know! I MUST finish it soon! In fact, the second book is on its way to me as we speak! 😆 Oh wow, it sounds incredible from how you describe it. I have no doubt that it will mess up my emotions greatly!

  4. Good list! A lot of these I have finished already or need to finish, too. The Percy Jackson and the Olympians will always hold a special place in my heart. Clockwork Princess will destroy you. I also need to finish the Chaos Walking Trilogy.

  5. Shatter Me is the only series from your list that I’ve finished reading. TID and the selection is already in my binge reading list. The Final Empire is in my next reads list so can’t wait to read it. Anyway Great List! I hope you finish them all 😀

  6. So many great series! I can’t wait until you finish TID, Selection, and Percy Jackson!! I read Hush, Hush a while back. It was one of the first books I read when I started reading YA and it was pretty enjoyable but after reading so many other YA, I’ll probably look at it differently. It wasn’t that horrible but I probably wouldn’t enjoy it as much as I did back then. Haha that’s so funny that you started with Isla! Isla was my favorite, she was the most relatable person for me. I loved the whole blank canvas thing and I think that her relationship with Josh was really great. Anna’s romance really frustrated me but I still really liked it. Lola was forgettable for me because I couldn’t connect with Lola or Cricket, so their romance wasn’t that great for me. Great list!

  7. Loved your choices, Josie. I really, really can’t wait to get some money to buy the Chaos Walking books, I’m so excited to start this series! I need to read the other books from the Anna series, it was such a sweet contemporary book, perfect for a light read! 🙂

    • Glad you liked them! 😄
I’m excited for you! I really hope it blows you away the way it blew me away.
They really are so cute, and since summer is coming around here in Australia it’s the perfect time for me to read another! 😊

  8. I almost never binge read series, I don’t even know why??!!
I want to get into The Chaos walking, shatter me and Mistborn books by the end of this year! Anna and the French Kiss is on my list as well and I also plan to finish them when I’m in the mood for a cute contemporary romance!! Great list! 🙂

  9. I haven’t finished the Across the Universe series either. I feel like I read the first 2 ages ago and can barely remember what happens in them! Also I’m sure you’ll really enjoy The Infernal Devices series and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on them!

    • I know! I can hardly remember what happened in the first book. I remember something about a killer and I distinctly remember a scene where it was some kind of “mating season” and everyone was kissing and what not EVERYWHERE. (what a great way to remember a book).
I am sure I will too! I have a review of the first book, which I LOVED! 😁

  10. Oooooh you’ll enjoy the second book of the Chaos Walking series! Or at least, I enjoyed the second and third book much more than the first! 😀

Interestingly, aside from the If I Stay and Where She Went (and Chaos Walking, of course), I haven’t finished any of the ones you listed either! :c

    • Oh I’m sure I will! I’ll be jumping for joy when it comes in the mail! And I can’t wait to get the third book soon after.

Oh gosh! Well, let’s hope we both finish all of these series by the end of the year! 😊
      xoxo 💋
