My August Book Haul!
Greetings bookworms! Welcome back to Josie’s Book Corner, on this lovely Sunday. August is almost over… where has this month gone?! But anyhow, I’m here to share with you all the books I acquired during the month. This month was a great month in terms of book buying and surprisingly, a good month for saving money too! Those two don’t really go together do they? But somehow, this month they did.
Unravel Me by Tahereh Mafi
I read and adored Shatter Me, so of course I had to purchase the second book in the series! I’m very excited about picking this one up, so hopefully I get around to it next month.
The Wrath and the Dawn by Renee Ahdieh
I purchased the lovely hardback edition of this book and it’s beautiful. The pages are jagged as if to look like an old, forbidden book. I love the design of the book and not to mention, I love the book in general! Click here to see my review.
The Mistborn Trilogy by Brandon Sanderson
I’m currently hosting a buddy read where anyone is welcome to join, with Aimal from Bookshelves and Paperbacks for the first book in the Mistborn trilogy: The Final Empire. This read along will be continuing until the 20th of September, so please, feel free to join in! Click here to go to my announcement post with all the details within.
Clockwork Prince by Cassandra Clare
I just ordered this book a couple of days ago because I seriously need to binge read the Infernal Devices series. After literally devouring the first book, I knew I needed to read the next two. Since I already have Clockwork Princess, all I needed was this one to complete the series!
The Winner’s Curse by Marie Rutkoski
After embarrassingly buying the second book rather than the first a month or so ago, I decided it’s about time I bought the first book. I haven’t received it yet, but it’s on its way to me right now! I cannot wait to get into this series, since I hear so much about it.
1984 by George Orwell
I bought this on my Kindle, because after my teacher mentioned this book to me, and the book I’m studying for English uses this book as its intertextual reference, I thought, I should probably freshen up on this story, shouldn’t I? So I bought it on Kindle.
Nowhere But Here by Katie McGarry
This was only 0.99c on Kindle so I thought… why the heck not?! I have yet to read it, but I will.
Tell me your fabulous thoughts, bookworms!
