The Real Neat Blog Award

The Real Neat Blog Award

Hello bookworms and welcome back! I am here to present to you an award which I was nominated for by the lovely Cristina @ My Tiny Obsessions and Raven @ Dreamy Addictions! Please check her out by clicking the link on her name, she is a wonderful blog that you need to see and follow. So, I was given 7 questions by Cristina to answer. But first, let me give you the rules of this award. . .

1. Thank and tag back the blogger who nominated you

2. Answer the questions he/she did to you

3. Nominate 7 bloggers

4. Ask 7 questions for them to answer

So now that we have all the rules cleared up, let’s get on into the questions!

Cristina’s Questions

Where would you rather spend a vacation? Beach? Mountain? City? Why?

My ideal place for vacation… Oh that’s a hard choice to make. I definitely would not pick a mountain. As much as I love the outdoors, I’m not very fond of it. I’d prefer the city, because I feel like I’m such a lover for the landscape and honestly I love hotels. I have a weird thing with hotels.

If you got stranded in a desert island, which 3 items would you like to have with you?

Oh dear Lord. I would have to choose my Kindle – because I’ll have a great amount of books to read in my spare time while stranded. The second item would have to be a more realistic item – my bed. No way am I going to rough it out sleeping on sand or somewhere where bugs can crawl all over me. Plus, my bed is extremely warm. Thirdly, I have no idea.

Who’s your biggest celebrity crush? Why?

This is hard. This is really hard, because I have a few that I don’t really want to choose between. But I shall give you a female and a male for this. For my male celebrity crush, it would have to be Orlando Bloom. Mainly because of his role in Pirates of the Caribbean and in Lord of the Rings. He is really handsome too. For my female crush. . . Lily Collins. I really love her. She’s gorgeous and just such a lovely lady!

Coke or Pepsi? Or “what are you talking about, there’s no difference”?

Coke, all the way. Pepsi has a strange taste to it that is kind of metallic to me, or a taste of less flavour. But to be honest, I prefer mango juice over both of these. Mango juice is heaven.

Favorite time of the year? Why?

JUNE! Becuase not only is it my birthday month, but it’s when it is winter here in Australia and it’s cold and rainy which is my favourite kind of weather.

Name a music that reminds you of your childhood?

Like, a song? Ah, well I didn’t really listen to music as a child. Pretty sad, huh? I don’t know what I did as a child. OH OH, WAIT! Rock Around The Clock definitely reminds me of my childhood. It’s a song I used to love to dance to for some reason when I was young.

You can only pick ONE book to read (forever), what would it be?

Oh no no no, why?! This is the most torturous question in the world. But if I had to, it would have to be the Inheritance Cycle series. OH NO WAIT! Or… The Throne of Glass series, for freaking sure.

Raven’s Questions

1. Tell me about someone you really admire?

Someone I admire? There are so many… I don’t want to pick just one specific person and miss out on the many other people that I admire so much. I really admire my best friends – I have three of them – because honestly they are the loveliest, most dedicated, wonderful people I know and they are constantly making me evaluate the things I do, say and think almost every day of my life. But honestly, there are too many people to fit into this answer.

2. What did you want to be when you grew up?

When I was little – what I can remember of it, because I have this weird memory loss of my years as a child – I remember really wanting to be a writer and especially a singer. So writing has been a passion of mine ever since I was a young child. Along with a passion for singing and music that, now, I would be happy to have a career in too.

3. If you could have any job, what would you want to do/be?

There are several jobs I would love to have. I’d love to be a writer, or an editor – and frankly, the idea of being a ghost-writer sound so freaking cool. But another job I’d love to have is one in the health department – I would love to be a psychologist. I have a big fascination for mental health.

4. What type of music you like most and name any three of your favourite new tracks?

I hate this question. But it’s nothing personal, it’s just that I honestly despise picking certain genres or areas especially when it comes to music. I love a range of music. I listen to pop, jazz, rock, electronic, dubstep, dance/techno, and Christian music. Some of my favourite bands include: Imagine Dragons, Paramore, Hillsong (Christian band). And I love too many artists to list.

5. Book that made you cry and a book that made you laugh out loud?

A Monster Calls by Partick Ness made me sob and cry, and of course, The Fault In Our Stars made me ball my eyes out in despair for 3 days (not non-stop of course). I book that made me laugh out loud? Holy crap, I can’t think of one… This is weird. I’ll have to get back to ya.

6. What did you do for your last birthday?

My birthday was just over a month ago, and I didn’t do anything. I went to school, got some presents from my lovely best friends, went out for lunch after school with them, including dessert with my favourite mango smoothie and that was it!

7. What Inspires You?

So many things inspire me. Listening to music inspires me. Spending time alone while exploring the world around me such as going out to the city alone and watching people (it’s not as creepy as it sounds) inspires me. Reading books inspires me. Observing the places all of you bloggers are going, reading your thoughts and opinions inspires me. Going on Tumblr inspires me incredibly! Tumblr is DEEP guys.

And that is it for this award! Thank you for the nominations, Cristina and Raven, I love you both. I am not going to nominate anyone, because I can’t remember who has done this and who hasn’t! Plus, I am very short on time, thanks to school dumping a ton of work on me this weekend. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and end up reading heaps, bookworms!

  1. Ha ha I love hotels too! XD There’s just something so cool about them that I love. Also, I’d definitely choose mango juice over coke and pepsi any day, I really don’t like pop drinks much and mango juice is simply delicious. ❤ Great post, I loved learning more about you! 😀

    1. Haha! Ah I see.
I think for me Pepsi kind off tastes a bit odd compared to coke. Or maybe I’m just used to coke…
I know, it must be weird for all of you! I just realised that Australia and New Zealand are pretty much the only countries in the southern hemisphere! Everyone else is in the northern! Holy crap.
And YES, ITS THAT GOOD 😁

  4. Relax, you are not alone, I have a strange obsession with Hotels as well… I love them (most of them anyway).

You do know that bugs can crawl onto the bed, right? 😛

Kindle is an amazing answer, I wouldn’t think of that, never even touched a kindle – that’s about to change, my new kindle should be here by wednesday!

Orlando Bloom is dreamy! I have a major crush on Legolas because of him.

My birthday is also in June! Though here is summer and freaking hot, and I don’t like it for it 😉

So glad you did this 🙂

    1. Yay, I have a common ally with my obsession of hotels! 😀
I know, I know, I was literally shivering with repulsion as I wrote my answer for the island thing. Oh goodness, spiders and cockroaches… and all other creepy crawlies… UGH.
YES YES! Legolas! ❤ I am constantly swooning over him and will always.
Ah yes, because you are in the Northern Hemisphere!

I'm glad I did it too. xoxo

      1. I wish spiders and cockroaches were the worst thing about a desert island… actually, it would be unlikely if you found a cockroach there… 😛 (I’m sorry, I’m creeping myself out as well!)

  5. I love that you chose your bed, haha. I would refuse to sleep on the ground.
I used to be so in love with Orlando Bloom, haha.
I like Pepsi, because it’s sweet than Coke. But I like Coke because it stays fizzy longer. haha. I tend to usually get Coke, because I like my soda fizzy like it’s supposed to be. I swear as soon as I open a Pepsi and let it sit for a few minutes without drinking it, it’s not fizzy anymore.
I am really excited to read A Monster Calls. I am hoping to get it in ASAP!
I love all the rest of your answers in this post as well! ❤

    1. I know right?! Sleeping on sand is totally not my forte.
I think many of us were, am I right?! He makes a beautiful and mesmerising elf in Lord of the Rings… ❤
Really? I feel like Pepsi tastes really weird!
I cannot wait for you to read it! Just thinking about the book makes me feel exasperated (in a good way). Patrick Ness is amazing. I'm reading his Chaos Walking trilogy right now – the first book – and man, it is incredible!
Thank you so much! Have you done this award? xoxo

      1. He does make a beautiful Elf. I was (totally still am) so in love with Legolas!
I’ve heard so many things about him. I started More Than This, but didn’t finish it before it returned to the library. I definitely plan to though and read his other books.
I haven’t done this award yet. I was tagged to do it, but haven’t gotten around to it yet. 🙂
