February Book Wrap Up

February Wrap Up

Hello bookworms! I’m here today to tell you all the books I’ve read during February.
I only read two books in February… It’s quite embarrassing. BUT! To make this post a bit more fun I’m going to show you the books I finished reading, along with the books I picked up, but could not continue with. So without further delay, let’s get into the wrap up!

Books I Completed in February

The Selection by Kiera Cass: This book is one that I enjoyed very much. It was a quick and easy read for the beginning of the month and I gave it a 4.5 star rating! [Check out my review by clicking here]

Jasper Jones by Craig Silvey: This was an amazing book, however this was the book that caused me to only read two books this month… This was a book I had to read for school in my English class, and at first I really wasn’t into it but as the story progressed, I realized how absolutely fantastic it was. It made me think deeper about certain issues in the world and was overall a crazy roller-coaster. I gave it 5 out of 5 stars! [Check out my review by clicking here]

Books I Picked Up But Failed To Finish

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo by Stieg Larsson: I feel horrible about not being able to get through this book. I think I got through about 10 pages and I just couldn’t go on. His writing, for me, just didn’t capture me. I couldn’t get into it and it left me falling asleep on my bed at night before I even realized I wasn’t reading anymore. Maybe later on in the year I’ll get onto it…

The Clan of the Cave Bear by Jean M. Auel: I really liked this book. I got a quarter of the way through and this was one I started not long ago. But I couldn’t finish reading it. I enjoyed it immensely, but the length intimidated me and also I was just not in the mood for it. (Plus I was just way too excited to read Red Queen, so…) Plus, I just had no motivation to pull this book into March as I felt it would be much easier to start fresh with a new TBR that I was excited about.

So that’s it for my February Book Wrap Up! I hope you enjoyed it, and tell me if ever experience those types of moments when you pick up a book and just can’t continue with it no matter how hard you try! As usual, I love hearing your feedback so don’t be afraid to send in a comment. I love you all, and keep on reading!

  1. I’m so glad you like Jasper jones. It is a great book & great you liked a book you ‘had to’ read. I couldn’t finish any in the millenium series as well. They were too gruesome for me. Happy reading x
